Visit with Santa

We went to Lowell Showboat and visited Santa. It was a nice experience visiting Santa outside of the malls. Emma decided to skip the Santa visit. Just wondering what we did wrong raising our kids!

Claire's first tooth fairy visit!

Finally after 6 years, Claire lost a tooth! She has a new tooth growing behind it and it will eventually push its way through. Sunday evening, Jana helped Claire remove a very loose tooth with a Kleenex.

Claire was happy to see the tooth fairy stop by last night. She woke us up at 4:30 am to let us know about it!

This morning I glanced through the Buyers Guide, a weekly paper that serves Ada, Cascade, and Lowell.

In the Misc. section, there was a notice:

Corn

Yesterday Jana's dad dropped off 22 lbs of green beans and 6 dozen ears of corn. Below are the pictures of us "canning" the corns with the Foodsaver. After we sealed it, we place the bags in the freezer. Today we plan on doing the same thing with green beans.

Edit: We received a bad batch of green beans. So off to the movies we go!

Uh oh...

This morning we noticed something on the garage ceiling. Above it is the master bath. I poked my finger in and noticed it was soaked with water. In the 3rd picture below, I took it after opening it up with the Dremel...the insulation was like a sponge, soaked up all the water.

So far we cannot find where the leak was coming from. We are hoping it will be a quick fix...but the subflooring is so saturated with water. It's still leaking and the water has been shut off to the bathroom.

Monday we will call a plumber and go from there. We are hoping that we will not need to involve the insurance company. Our builder is no longer in the business!

Happy Birthday Jana!

Today is Jana's birthday!

We celebrated yesterday with a family dinner to Sonic's. Leah will be leaving for camp today and will be gone all week. We will have a small celebration tonight.

Paint project

Yesterday we painted Rachel's room...she wanted it to be light yellow. It turned out pretty good.

Happy Birthday Chewy!

On July 2nd, our dog Chewy turned 1 year old. We were making pancake breakfast and made him a special pancakes with dog food in it! He loves it!
