Have a Merry Christmas!

Sorry we've been busy. It's been a crzy month so far for the family. Here is a picture of the girls in their Christmas dresses.

Now the girls are on their winter break, we can sit back and relax! We got our shopping done and need to wrap a few more gifts. Jana is continuing baking some goodies. Our weather forecast calls for a white Christmas!

Over the next few weeks, we plan on staying close to town. Remember the reason for the season!

Have a Merry Christmas!

Enchanted

This past Tuesday night, we all got to see a special screening of Enchanted. It's a new Disney movie coming out next Wednesday the 21st. Bissell has a vaccum in this movie and we were able to see the movie before the general population sees it! The ushers uses a scanner to make sure no one is bringing in camcoders and post it on the 'net.

Here's what I found online: In an animated fairy tale world, a young girl meets and falls in love with the handsome prince of her dreams. News of this romance upsets the prince’s mother, the evil queen, who uses her black magic to send the girl hurtling out of the animated world into the one place in the universe where there is no true love: modern day Manhattan. The now-real girl has to survive in New York City and find her way home again to her true love. It's a bunch of Disney stories bunched up in one movie. If you watch/listen carefully, you'd see scenes from classics such as Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Pinnochio, Snow White, Anastasia, etc.

We enjoyed the movie and will most likely add this flick to our DVD collection with it comes out probably a year from now.

Back from Florida

We're back in town! It was a nice break from our beautiful girls to go to Florida. Thank you Mom and Dad for watching the girls!

While in Florida we did several things. Here are a few highlights:

We went on an air boat ride on Lake Trafford. It's a huge lake infested with alligators! There were plenty of heron birds along the shore. We left our camera in the car and we rode with Jana's Grandparents. It rained most of the boat trip, the only day that rained all day on our trip.

We also went to Typhoon Lagoon...a huge water park on Disney property. We relaxed on a tube, went down several water slides and swam in the Surf Pool. Every 90 seconds, a huge wave comes down! My favorite part was to swim with Leopard sharks and sting rays. The biggest shark was about 5 feet long. Jana opted out of this! They have a new 'water-coaster' called Crush 'n Gusher. It's our favorite water slide and we rode on it 3 times. It's a fun place for the whole family...next time we will bring the little ones!

On our way back visiting Jana's Grandparents in Punta Gorda FL, we stopped at a beach near Sarasota Florida. We went to the public beach on Siesta Key. It's a beautiful, shallow beach with white sand and warm water. It was a relaxing afternoon for us before heading back to our hotel in Kissimmee.

Of course we took the time to visit Disney. One day we visited 3 parks, focusing on the thrill rides that we couldn't do with the kids. The next day, we went to the Magic Kingdom for the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. Many people dressed up in costumes. The park workers passed out lots of candies. We probably brought home close to 10 lbs of candy.

We missed the space shuttle by 10 minutes...we were shopping at an outlet mall. As we left the mall to go back to the car, there were people facing east with cameras. We looked up and saw the smoke from the shuttle. We asked a passerby about it, he said it was from the space shuttle. Here is the picture of what we saw:

We had a great time in Florida but we are happy to be back home. We are looking forward to the big family vacation this coming February to Mexico!

Florida - Day 1

After a long layover in Detroit, we finally arrived to Orlando shortly after 1:00 AM and go to the hotel after 2:00 AM. Our plane from DTW to MCO had mechanical problems so we had to get off the plane and hop on another plane. Flights were fine otherwise.

It's in the mid 80's and we are enjoying it! It's mostly partly cloudy. Today we went to the Super Target to pick up a few groceries, laid back at the pool, and shopping the outlet stores. For lunch we ate at Sonic...pretty good food! We are still tired from traveling last night. Jana is taking a nap while I'm typing this update. Hopefully tomorrow will be a much better day!

So far we are enjoying our stay in Kissimmee.
